Ben worked in the fast-paced, super-creative world of commodities trading, an environment that does not leave a spare second for second guessing choices. One day, he decided to leave it all. He gave up his visa and financial security to follow a dream. And he did it without second guessing.

Paul joined Joorney as the first salesperson in 2014 and got to work forging connections with our core client base – immigration attorneys and professionals – and building our sales team. As Director, he created a customer-centric culture which he lives, practices, and instills company-wide on a daily basis. Currently, as Chief Commercial Officer, Paul focuses on nurturing the relationship with Joorney’s partners and is also responsible for establishing, maintaining, and refining policies and procedures across departments to ensure every contact the customer has with the company, from marketing and sales to receiving their invoice and delivery of our product, is a positive and memorable one.

Ognjen joined Joorney in October 2014. He has created our entire Operations and HR teams, as well as processes, from scratch. Today, as Partner and COO, Ognjen continues to lead those same teams – including 4 VPs and 150+ people overall. As such, he ensures Joorney’s stability and highly customized deliverables.

Passionate about all matters HR and with a firm belief that people are at the heart of each organization’s success, Ognjen and his team work hard to ensure that the output of Joorney’s continuously evolving organizational structure always surpasses clients’ expectations.

Ognjen holds an MBA degree from Columbia University. He enjoys spending time with his two daughters – Irina and Masha. His guilty pleasures are video games such as World of Warcraft and Sid Meier’s Civilization IV, or an occasional game of chess.

Marianella brings over 18 years of international experience in business development and consultation in strategy, management, business planning, business intelligence, marketing, and sales to the Joorney family. Originally from Colombia, she has worked in an array of different industries in both Latin and North American markets. Joining the company in 2016 as VP of Sales and Market Research, Marianella helped initiate and launch the extraordinarily successful Joorney Canada office in 2017, where she later took on the role of Executive Director for the division. Now, as Director of Sales & Marketing for Joorney Global, she plans and directs all aspects of sales and marketing policies, objectives, and initiatives company-wide. She attributes her success to her lifetime involvement and accomplishments in sports, which have made her incredibly driven and focused on success through collaboration and teamwork. Marianella is a bilingual MBA graduate with postgraduate studies at Harvard Business School in strategy and sales as well as entrepreneurial essentials.

Jonathan is an experienced strategic management controller with international experience working in New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Miami, London and Montreal. Having experienced the challenges of immigration first-hand, while in Canada he got interested in the immigration path of the various international business people he met. Seeing a real shortfall in the writing of business plans, he started writing business plans for business immigration applicants, mixing his management control experience to his newly found business immigration passion. He teamed up with Joorney Business Plans and launched the Canada division. Once established, he took over the role of General & Financial Director of the division until his promotion to Chief Financial Officer of Joorney in 2021.

Rachel is passionate about small businesses and entrepreneurship. She holds a bachelor’s in Social Sciences and a Masters in Business Administration. Starting her career in various roles, she gained skills in operations, finance, and marketing. Transitioning after her MBA, she focused on data analysis and business strategy and is now the Data & Analytics Manager at Joorney. Rachel quickly moved up to manage key business and financial strategies, greatly impacting the company’s development. She now leads data initiatives for decision-making and organizational effectiveness. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, yoga, and taking care of her houseplants.

Tijana is a fully certified Chartered Financial Analyst with a master’s degree in investment management and quantitative finance from Cass Business School. Her background and experience have resulted in her being regarded as the resident financial expert at Joorney, where she supervises the operations team. Tijana also personally manages various projects, helping countless clients successfully embark on their business ventures in the United States market.

Ana is an International Business graduate who has taken part in various entrepreneurship projects and start-up programs. She has also been an active participant in several humanitarian projects. In her role at Joorney, she deals with a broad scope of industries and innovative business ideas. Ana’s commitment to professional and personal development has led to her strong passion for processes and action plans, which serves her well in her current role. She enjoys multitasking, allowing her to truly thrive in this multinational environment. Ana is invigorated by new challenges – particularly those relating to the company’s expansion and client outreach.

Piotr is a marketing and growth leader with 18 years of experience across tech and media companies. He believes that the best marketing is simple and helpful, and that the most important marketing skill is empathy. He has an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoys supporting others who dare to build new things.

Piotr is a devoted scientist and the founder of Danaba Institute, a research institute dedicated to solving the code of human aging.

Joshua brings a unique blend of account management experience mixed with a legal and business marketing educational background to the Joorney family. Originally from Los Angeles, he has lived in Europe and Latin America and is a bilingual JD graduate. At Joorney, Joshua enjoys learning about his client’s backgrounds and goals and assisting them with business plans for immigration and business development projects.

Gerald’s passion is helping startups and small- and medium-size companies get the funding they need through expertly crafted business plans. This passion serves him well in his role as VP Sales for the U.S. market. Gerald’s favorite part of the job is the discovery meeting where he learns all about his clients’ companies, their goals, and the funding that is required. He has helped numerous companies with SBA and bank loan business plans, investor business plans, investor presentations, and landlord presentations, raising over 50 million dollars in total.

Eliana brings her consulting background and experience to the service of Latin American investors coming to the United States through E2, L1, and EB5 visas, which serves her well in her role of VP of Sales for the Latin America market.

Matt brings 9 years of investment banking advisory and transactions experience to the Advisory team. He has advised over 40 clients across different industries and geographies. Matt is fluent in development project pre-feasibility and the life-cycle of transactions ranging from $10MM to $250MM and having led such transactions from valuation and deal structuring to distribution, capital raising and negotiation for a variety of corporations at different stages of their development.

With an academic foundation in International Relations and a focus on Migration Studies, Teodora combines her deep understanding of global movement with her professional expertise in crafting tailored business solutions. Fluent in multiple languages, she has built a diverse career spanning industries and countries. Once the go-to person for complex EB2 business plans, Teodora now serves as the Executive VP at Joorney, driving operational excellence and fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
